English: Col. Luis Pomales (left), director, Army Reserve Engagement Team-Japan, and Sgt. Maj. Bennie Nunnally (right), senior enlisted advisor, Army Reserve Engagement Team-Japan, pose for a group photo with Gen. Toshiya Okabe (center), chief of staff, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, during a formal bilateral dinner hosted at the Sky View restaurant at Camp Ichigaya, Japan, Aug. 29, 2016. The JGSDF Reserve Component invited Pomales and Nunnally to Camp Ichigaya to discuss the U.S. Army Reserve’s missions and capabilities in the Pacific. The event also presented Pomales and Nunnally opportunities to promote ARET-J’s recent efforts to expand the Army Reserve’s role in Japan by integrating nearly 1,000 Army Reserve Soldiers from dozens of units and specialties into U.S. Army Japan’s training exercises, contingency operations and bilateral engagements.
