Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Wasp (CVS-18) at Hamburg, Germany, in early October 1968. Wasp, with assigned Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 52 (CVSG-52), was deployed to the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea from 20 August to 19 December 1968. Alongside of Wasp is the destroyer escorts USS Koelsch (DE-1049). Barely visible in front of Koelsch is USS Hammerberg (DE-1015).
