English: The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Tucson (SSN-770) glides past the mouth of Apra Harbor, Guam. The attack submarine has twelve launch missile tubes for Tomahawk cruise missiles to provide defense capabilities and retractable bow planes to give the vessel increased maneuverability. With its stealth design, endurance, and mobility the Tucson is able to operate in all ocean areas of the world. She is the 59th of her class and homeported out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. |
