English: 150915-N-PG340-020 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 15, 2015) – Chief Machinist’s Mate Anthony Fortney, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), gets pinned at a chief pinning ceremony. Forty-four chiefs were pinned by fellow chiefs in a traditional ceremony in the hangar bay aboard Theodore Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
