SAN DIEGO (April 19, 2016) The guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) departs Naval Base San Diego for a scheduled deployment to the western Pacific region as part of Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet Pacific Surface Action Group (PAC SAG). Spruance, along with USS Decatur (DDG 73) and USS Momsen (DDG 92) and embarked “Devil Fish” and “Warbirds” detachments of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49, will deploy as part of PAC SAG under Destroyer Squadron 31 (CDS-31).
