Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Scroggins (DE-799) at the Philadelphia Naval Shipy Yard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA), in October 1945. The bridge shows modifications, and two twin 40 mm Bofors have been added in place of the torpedo tube position. Note the rangefinder for the 3"/50 guns on the bridge. Scroggins is painted in Measure 22 camouflage. Inboard of her, by contrast is a Rudderow-class destroyer escort in Measure 11 scheme.
