Summary

[edit]
Description The U.S. Navy heavy cruiser USS San Francisco (CA-38) underway with a carrier task group, in 1944. San Francisco wore the depicted Camouflage Measure 33, Design 13D between October 1944 and mid-1945 when she was repainted in Measure 22. In the background is an Independence-class light aircraft carrier which seems to wear Measure 32, Design 8A, which would then be either USS Independence (CVL-22) or USS Bataan (CVL-29).
