Description View aft, of the U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser USS Providence (CLG-6) taken at the Hunter's Point Naval Shipyard, California (USA), while she was undergoing an inclining experiment. Note Mark 9 twin-arm launcher for RIM-2 Terrier guided missiles and the pair of SPQ-5 missile guidance radars, satellite communications antenna, and stowed underway replenishment gear. The large blocks on the main deck edges are weights used during the inclining experiment.
