English: At sea aboard USS Paul Hamilton (DDG-60) Oct. 25, 1995 — The guided missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton (DDG-60) operating off the Hawaiian Islands during scheduled missile launch exercises. Destroyers and guided missile destroyers operate in support of carrier battle groups, surface action, amphibious and replenishment groups. Destroyers primarily perform anti-submarine warfare duty while guided missile destroyers are multi-mission, anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare combatants. |
