Description	The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Ozbourn (DD-846) after her 1948 collision. On 1 October 1948, the destroyer departed San Diego, California (USA), for a deployment to the Far East. However, this tour was cut short because on 23 November 1948 Ozbourn collided with USS Theodore E. Chandler (DD-717) during night maneuvers. Two crewmembers died and the ship reached Qingdao, China, where a temporary bow was installed. She then headed back to the Long Beach Naval Shipyard for replacement of the bow and for general repairs.
