English: INDIAN OCEAN (Dec. 29, 2020) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Dominic Nesbit, from Fayettville, Ohio, fires shot line with an M14 rifle on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) during a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7). Nimitz, the flagship of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three critical chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
