Description

U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILIY (March 8, 2014) Lt. j.g. Cody Oshman, left, Operations Specialist 1st Class Cameron Notaro, and Cmdr. Michael Ray, commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18), monitor their approach alongside the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4) during an underway replenishment. New Orleans is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, with the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU), deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
