Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Seid (DE-256) moored between the station tanker USS Quiros (IX-140) and the damaged destroyer minelayer USS Lindsey (DM-32) at Guam, 9 May 1945.
Lindsey was hit by two kamikaze aircraft off Okinawa on 12 April 1945. She arrived at Guam on 6 May. Work to construct a temporary bow has started, with wreckage from kamikaze damage partially removed. On 8 July, she left for Norfolk, Virginia (USA), for permanent repairs.
