English: Aerial view of the U.S. Navy's 16th Reserve Fleet ships laid up at the South Boston Naval Annex, Boston Naval Shipyard, 25 July 1953. The aircraft carrier USS Leyte (CVA-32) is in the foreground. She was converted to an anti-submarine carrier (CVS) at Boston between 8 August 1953 and 4 January 1954. Beyond her are 18 escort carriers.
