I spent the night on this ship in more or less this place in 1963, the summer between 1st grade and 2nd. My dad was OOD one night and he had me out to spend the night in his cabin. I thought the all-stainless steel shower was a bit odd. Dinner was really good and so was the movie after dinner (a Royal Navy thriller about an RN crew operating a captured U-Boat in WWII...
