Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CVA-67) refuels the Dutch anti-submarine destroyer Hr.Ms. Gelderland (D811), her forward guns trained skyward, in the North Atlantic on 21 February 1971. John F. Kennedy, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 14 September 1970 to 1 March 1971.
