English: Honeysuckle by William G. Yorke; oil-on-canvas painting. Built at Buffalo, New York, in 1862 under the name William G. Fargo, the vessel served as USS Honeysuckle during the American Civil War as a gunboat, dispatch vessel and tugboat before decommissioning in 1865. Subsequently she became the merchant Honeysuckle and was active until 1900. |
