Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Helm (DD-388) assists the light aircraft carrier USS Belleau Wood (CVL-24) after she was hit by a Kamikaze, while operating off Luzon, Philippines, on 30 October 1944. 92 crewmen died and eleven Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat of Fighting Squadron 21 (VF-21) were destroyed. Helm is painted in Camouflage Mesure 31, Design 1D.
