Description |
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Glennon (DD-840), the ocean escort USS Elmer Montgomery (DE-1082) and the guided missile cruiser USS Springfield (CLG-7) in Naples harbour, Italy, at the time of the October 1973 Yom Kippur War. Note: The view shows a LCM-6 underway between Elmer Montgomery and Glennon. The "NV" on her bow ramp indicates she was a boat of the attack transport USS Navarro (APA-215). However, Navarro had been decommissioned in 1969 and transferred to the reserve fleet on 20 August 1970. |
