Description

WATERS SOUTH OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (April 8, 2015) Sailors from the mine countermeasure ship USS Chief (MCM 14) use a rigid-hull inflatable boat to switch positions of two mine neutralization vehicles during mine sweeping training in waters south of the Korean peninsula. Chief is participating in Exercise Foal Eagle 2015, a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the Republic of Korea – U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
