CAPE WRATH, Scotland (April 3, 2017) A Mark 45 5-inch lightweight gun fires aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) as the ship conducts naval surface fire support qualifications in Cape Wrath, Scotland. Carney is forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, conducting its third patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
