Description At sea aboard USS Carl Vinson - An F/A-18C “Hornet” from the "Mighty Shrikes" of Strike Fighter Squadron Nine Four (VFA-94) is the first aircraft to land aboard USS Carl Vinson's flight deck since completing a scheduled maintenance up-keep. The aircraft is seen about to catch the #3 wire, the arresting cable the pilots aim for in a space of deck about 80 feet long, at about 135 knots.
