Description
English: The U.S. Navy fleet oiler USS Canisteo (AO-99) refuels the aircraft carrier USS Leyte (CV-32) and the destroyer USS Purdy (DD-734) during U.S. Atlantic Fleet Operations on 4 March 1949. USS Caloosahatchee (AO-98) refuels USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVB-42) in the distance. Aircraft of Carier Air Group 9 (CVAG-9) are parked on Leyte's deck.
