Description
English: The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Bunker Hill (CV-17) moored at San Diego, California (USA), circa in 1970, while serving as moored electronics test hulk there. Bunker Hill was decommissioned on 9 January 1947 and was redesignated "Auxiliary Aircraft Transport" AVT-9 in May 1959. Although officially stricken from the U.S. Naval Register on 2 November 1966, she served as an electronics test platform up to the early 1970s. Bunker Hill was finally sold for scrap on 2 July 1973.
