Description
English: Senior leadership of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South and the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) walk across the flight deck of the ship with U.S. Ambassador to Chile Michael Hammer to conduct a press conference with Chilean media in Valparaiso, Chile, Aug. 24, 2014. America moored in Valparaiso for a scheduled port visit to conduct key leader engagements with distinguished visitors, give tours showcasing the capabilities of SPMAGTF-South and the ship and host an evening reception emphasizing the imperative of partnership and cooperation between the U.S. naval forces and Chile.
