Description

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS America (CV-66) with U.S. and NATO ships. America, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1), was deployed to the North Atlantic and the North Sea for the NATO exercise "North Star '91" from 21 August to 11 October 1991.

The ship in the lower right is the Royal Navy frigate HMS Cleopatra (F28), the one with the large radome in the upper right is the Dutch frigate Hr.Ms. Tromp (F801). The ship in front of Tromp is the German frigate Köln (F 211).
