Description
English: U.S. Army Gen. James Dickinson, U.S. Space Command commander (left), met with Dr. Hiroshi YAMAKAWA, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency President (right), to discuss the importance of a safe and sustainable space environment at Space Symposium 37, Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 6, 2022. Dickinson recently visited Japan and spoke at the activation ceremony for Japan’s Space Operations Group. He offered his congratulations to Japan on the significant progress in increasing space situational awareness capabilities and developing a cadre of space professionals. The U.S. – Japan Alliance has been the cornerstone of peace, prosperity, and freedom in the Indo-Pacific region for more than 60 years.
