HOOPER, "The Discovery of Wrangel Island", OCCASIONAL PAPERS OF THE CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES No. XXIV 1956 p7. Four photographs of the same title as this engraving are listed (by title and number only) in a catalog of scenic photographs by Isaiah W. Taber. A copy of one of these (B886) is reportedly in The University of California, Bancroft Library, Roy D. Graves photographic collection. Another copy is posted Paul Barnes collection
