English: Freddie L. Cotton, the center manager of the Marine Corps Air Station Futenma United Service Organizations, presents Lance Cpl. Christopher Diaz, an aviation maintenance administrative specialist with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36, with a shirt and plaques, to recognize his outstanding volunteer hours. Diaz, with the help of Cpl. Myles Stevenson, an aviation maintenance administrative specialist with MALS-36, and Lance Cpl. Louis Marrero, a tilt rotor/dynamic component helicopter mechanic with MALS-36, has made it possible to keep the MCAS Futenma USO open after hours. MCAS Futenma USO has computers, televisions and internet access, all free-of-charge. Keeping the USO open later at night makes it easier for service members to contact their loved ones in the states, said Diaz. MALS-36 is part of Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. |
