Description
English: 080714-N-0096V-098 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 14, 2008) The visit, board, search and seizure team assigned to the guided-missile frigate USS Jarrett (FFG 33), along with counterparts from the Royal Malaysian Navy, pull alongside the Malaysian training ship MV Fajar Samadera during a training exercise as part of cooperation afloat readiness and training (CARAT) 2008. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and several Southeast Asian nations designed to build relationships and enhance operational readiness.
