Description
English: Sgt. Michael A. Heacock, Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron weather forecaster and native of Tujunga, Calif., tracks clouds on the Station Meteorological Oceanographic Command's �wall of thunder� Sept. 23. The Marines at METOC are split into two different military occupational specialties � observers, who gather data about the current weather conditions; and forecasters, who use that data to predict what changes might happen anywhere from the next hour to 24 hours.
