Description
English: Sgt. Matthew R. Biggs, with Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Okinawa, is part of an Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military detail escorting a wreath to be placed at the base of one of the monuments at the Cabanatuan POW Camp Memorial, March 18. AFP and U.S. troops participating in Balikatan 2010 paid their respects to the World War II fallen warriors of Cabanatuan prison camp during a ceremony at the memorial. Biggs only recently learned his grandfather was one of the Army Rangers who rescued prisoners of war from the camp Jan. 30, 1945.
