English: Dubbed Operation Hero Trek, Mike Mobley, father of Sgt. James R. Mobley, an infantry team leader with 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, is slated to hit the road March 24, and walk from Denver, Colo., to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., in time to welcome his son home from Afghanistan. The purpose of the trek is to raise military awareness and help raise money for foundations that support the military. The above graphic represents the route he will take. |
