Description
English: U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Frank Dugger (left), the maintenance control chief for Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, speaks with Sgt. Ben Davis, an HMH-463 crew chief and 25-year-old from Sachse, Texas, after inspecting one of their squadron’s CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters on Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, July 25, 2012. Dugger, a 41-year-old native of Tallahassee, Fla., nearly died from two cardiac episodes while deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. He used his second chance to turn his life around. He quit drinking, began eating more healthily and decided to complete a triathlon. Less than a year later, he completed an Ironman triathlon in Cozumel, Mexico. In total, he’s finished 9 marathons and 30 triathlons.
