English: Lt. Pranom Yodrug, an instructor with Reconnaissance Battalion, Royal Thai Marine Corps, supervises while Chief Petty Officer Pairoj 'the Snakeman' Prasasai, another instructor with the battalion prepares to grab the head of a king cobra during jungle survival training May 13 at Sattahip Navy Base. The instructors taught Marines and sailors with Landing Force Company how to catch and kill the deadly snakes if they couldn't be avoided. The majority of the Marines with the Landing Force are from 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division with augments from III Marines Expeditionary Force. The Marines are participating in the Thailand phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2011.
