English: Quartermaster Second Class (SW) John Gosewisch, salvage officer, assigned to Naval Beach Group 2, ground-guides an Estonian army vehicle and driver from a section of lighterage onto the beach. Gosewisch and his fellow sailors were providing support to Marines and Estonian soldiers during BALTOPS-12. Baltic Operations -12 is a prime example of how teamwork among different nations can help increase stability, diminish threats to peace, and strengthen relationships. Units from all over the United States along with 12 partner nations to enhance their interoperability and worked together to strengthen the regional security capabilities in the Baltic Sea region. |
