English: Marines from 81mm mortar platoon, Golf Co., Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to load an 81mm round Nov. 19, 2008. More than 90 Marines and sailors participated in bilateral infantry training with a Middle Eastern nation, from Nov. 18-24, 2008. The training included squad attacks, motorized mounted and dismounted attacks, and a final live fire exercise. The 26th MEU is currently forward deployed aboard the Iwo Jima Strike Group in the Arabian Gulf in support of security and stability operations. |
