English: Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion, 24th Maine Expeditionary Unit, returned home from a seven-month deployment in southern Afghanistan, Oct. 27. Families braved the cool, winter temperatures to reunite with their loved ones. The 24th MEU was the largest Marine unit to head to Afghanistan in almost four years, and has since been followed by Task Force 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment and Marine Air Ground Task Force 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment.
