Jonathan Gurfein (right), platoon commander of 81mm Mortar Platoon, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, talks to local tribal leaders, or sheiks, inside the newly opened medical clinic in the Albu Hawa community, July 3. Marines and sheiks attended a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the clinic. The clinic project, which was supervised by Civil Affairs Team 3 in direct support of 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, was a big step in the reconstruction phase for the once insurgent-plagued farmland community.
