Kelly, the commander of first platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, uses a compass to ensure the rounds he requires to be fired will hit exactly where he wants them to during a fire support coordination exercise here Jan. 16, to train the battalion�s future Fire Support Team (FST) leaders. Marines with 81 mm Mortar Platoon, Weapons Company, also participated in the training which helped the Marines remain proficient with their weapons systems, while at the same time providing the FST leaders with indirect fire. |
