Marrequin uses his Spanish speaking skills to help the orphans pick teams for a soccer game, Jan. 12 during a visit to the Rancho Nazareth Boys Orphanage in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. The day-long trip featured Marines and sailors from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. and civilians from St Elizabeth Church, Carlsbad, Calif., the volunteers helped the orphanage receive repairs and provided them with an American style barbeque. Marrequin, a Brooklyn, N.Y. native is the staff noncommissioned officer in charge with the quality assurance section of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 466, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
