Description
English: Within hours of arriving in Washington, D.C., Maj. Trent A. Gibson, the executive officer for 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, and Medal of Honor recipient Cpl. Jason Dunham’s former company commander, sits on the steps in front of the Marine Corps War Memorial July 9, carefully examining the pieces of the Kevlar helmet Dunham used to selflessly save the lives of his fellow Marines in 2004.
