English: CAMP HURRICANE POINT Ar Ramadi, Iraq (Aug. 8, 2005) - Sergeant Daniel A. Cochran, a rifleman and team leader with the Combined Action Platoon(CAP), Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, briefs members of the Iraqi Security Forces at the camp here Aug. 8 prior to conducting a security and stabilization operation in the Al Anbar capital in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Twenty-one-year-old Cochran from Unionville, Va., and fellow CAP Marines train new members of the ISF and employ them on Ramadi's urban battlefield to help secure the city from terrorism. The Marines are letting the ISF carry more of the operational workload because their tactics are improving. Iraqi Security Forces are even leading their own foot patrols. Photo by: Cpl. Tom Sloan |
