English: SAQLAWIYAH, Iraq - Sgt. Willis Davis, sniper team leader with STA (Surveillance, Target, and Acquisition) Platoon, Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, left, and Cpl. Joseph R. Piner, assistant team leader, observe the terrain from a rooftop here April 26. The snipers serve as the eyes and ears for the battalion, covertly keeping a watchful eye for suspicious activity, such as insurgents laying improvised explosive devices along convoy and patrol transit routes.
