English: Forgoing the classic green on green Marine Corps physical training uniform for a digital desert camouflaged kilt, Gunnery Sgt. Robert Porter, provost marshal for Camp Taqaddum, shows off his Scottish heritage during a fun run held here March 19, 2006. In an effort to break up the day-to-day routine of a deployment, Camp Taqaddums base operations section teamed up with the Morale, Welfare and Recreation department to organize the run, which drew more than 200 runners. The base, home to nearly 8,000 service members and civilians, is a main logistics hub for U.S. troops in the Al Anbar province and is located near the restive cities of Fallujah and Ramadi. |
