Description
English: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small tours the Madison Parish Hospital, in Tallulah, LA, on Jan 31, 2023. A USDA RD Community Facilities loan guarantee enables the hospital to receive a $3,055,000 loan.

The USDA RD investment enables the hospital to construct a 57,000-square-foot critical access hospital. The hospital offers in-patient and out-patient services, an emergency department, and 16 in-patient beds. This includes the construction of a 14,000-square-foot rural health clinic and helicopter landing pad. The existing clinic will be renovated to accommodate administrative offices.
