Description An image from the Los Angeles Daily News depicting the November 23, 1947 game between the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans football teams. USC player Gordon Gray (right, dark uniform) returned a punt and was stripped on the ball by UCLA end Tom Fears (bottom center). Gray recovered the lose ball on USC's 35 yard line and was tackled by UCLA back Al Hoisch (number 7).
