Description
English: Members of the buoy deck team aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw, a 240-foot icebreaker homeported in Cheboygan, Mich., stand ready to bring the Calumet East Shoal Lighted Buoy 4 aboard the cutter as part of Operation Fall Retrieve in Lake Michigan near Calumet Harbor, Ill., Dec. 5, 2013. The Mackinaw is continuing normal operations as part of Operation Fall Retrieve while serving as the Christmas Ship, delivering more than 1,200 Christmas trees to Chicago from northern Michigan, as the route coincides with the cutters annual seasonal buoy run in Lake Michigan.
