English: USAF Douglas C-124C Globemaster II ( s/n 52-954, ev of 60th TCW, 53rd TCS, Rhein-Main AB) on finals at Berlin Tempelhof Airport, 1961. This C-124C visited Giebelstadt Air Base in June 1961, and attracted a great deal of attention from the public in Lower Franconia and Baden-Württemberg. The heavy 4-engine transport aircraft with the serial number s/n 52-954 was also captured by Ralf Manteufel during the landing approach to Berlin-Tempelhof Airport in 1961 in a black and white photo (this photo). Deutsch: Douglas C-124C Globemaster II ( s/n 52-954 ), vermutlich 53rd TCS, 60th TCW, Rhein-Main Air Base, besuchte Giebelstadt Air Base im Juni 1961, und erhielt große Aufmerksamkeit beim unterfränkischen und baden-württembergischen Publikum. Das schwere 4-motorige Transportflugzeug mit der Serial number s/n 52-954 wurde im Jahr 1961 auch von Ralf Manteufel während des Landeanfluges auf Berlin-Tempelhof Airport in einem SW-Foto (dieses Foto) festgehalten.
