English: Reportage Photo from the "Quisling Case"
  • In 1945, Supreme Court Justice Erik Solem was tasked, as acting judge of the Eidsivating Court of Appeal's treason division, to lead the treason trials. Quisling was sentenced to death for treason, murder, and theft. The sentence was appealed to the Supreme Court, which upheld the verdict. Quisling was executed by firing squad at Akershus Fortress in Oslo on October 24.

The photograph shows, among others, defense attorney's assistant Eilif Fougner (left), Judge Erik Solem (center, in the chair with a crown), prosecutor Annæus Schjødt, and investigator Simon Østmoe (right).

  • Høyesterettsdommer Erik Solem fikk i 1945 i oppdrag som konstituert lagmann ved Eidsivating lagmannsretts landssvikavdeling å lede landssvikoppgjøret. Quisling ble dømt til døden for landsforræderi, drap og tyveri. Dommen ble anket til Høyesterett som stadfestet dommen. Quisling ble henrettet ved skyting på Akershus festning i Oslo 24. oktober.
